How you can help

Ways to Get Involved and Give Back

Monetary Donations

SECOR is always in need of direct monetary donation to help us provide for the specific needs of our recipients, who we call “our guests”. We accept one-time donations, along with regular monthly donations, of any amount, to continue our focus and mission. We rely on individual donations, corporate sponsorships and grants to fund our work in our community. All donations are tax-deductible.

We also welcome stock donations! For more information on this process, please get in touch with us directly here.

Become a bag sponsor

Our Food For Thought program is a great way to get your brand or passion noticed by many families from the 35 schools that we serve.

Market Donations

Donating food, of any kind, to our food market is a great way to help. There are specific items that our community needs at different times of the year.

Reward Program

You can financially support SECOR at no cost to you by simply designating SECOR cares for community rewards on your King Soopers reward card.

Fresh Food Connect

Fresh Food Connect is an app that helps connect home gardeners to food pantries. If you grow extra produce in your at-home garden, we would love for you to download the app, log your extra produce, and donate it to SECOR.

Your extra produce won’t go to waste, and folks living in neighborhoods where healthy food can be hard to come by will enjoy fresh, locally grown food.

Events

Throughout the year we host different events to assist in our fundraising efforts. We have events for everyone at every age. Join us and help SECOR propel our guests toward self-sufficiency!

Spread the Word

One of the elements of suburban poverty that makes it different from other forms of hardship is that it is typically invisible. Those experiencing suburban poverty are usually embarrassed, ashamed, and even mortified to let others know about their circumstances. They work hard at keeping their outward appearance "normal" and don't tell others of their predicament; they are silent. As a result, no one ever knows they are struggling, and they may not know where to seek help.

Our big ask: Please share who we are and what we do with everyone. The person standing in front of you carrying on a normal conversation may need SECOR's help but may be reluctant to tell you. By simply sharing our story, and our mission, you could be the difference between their continued struggle and getting back on their feet. Speak up, even if they don't.
